Newdigate Colliery: misc_newd260

Newdigate Colliery Canal Wharf which was used to transport coal by water up to the closure of the pit. The bridge seen behind the coal wagon carried the Coventry to Nuneaton Railway over the 'arm' of the canal which joined the Coventry Canal just a little further beyond the bridge.
