Newdigate Colliery: misc_newd270

Looking towards Bedworth with Newdigate Siding Signal Cabin on the left and the colliery line off to the right circa 1965-66. The 'headshunt' sidings which accommodate trains coming off the Coventry to Nuneaton branch as seen in the maps 'misc_newd291', 'misc_newd292' and 'misc_newd293' are behind the photographer. The unidentified British Railway Standard Class 4 4-6-0 is returning light engine to its home shed at Nuneaton.
