GWR 4-6-0 No 6008 'King James II' is seen arriving at Snow Hill station's Platform 7 on an up express service to Paddington station circa 1947. This picture is available as an Open Edition print from Quicksilver Publishing. Built at Swindon works to Lot 243 in March 1928 No 6008 was withdrawn from service in June 1962 from 84A Stafford Road shed in Wolverhampton to be scrapped in November 1962 by Swindon works.
