LMS Route: Trent Valley Line

LMS 2-6-0 'Hughes Crab' No 13117 is seen at the head of an up goods train on the slow line approaching Bulkington. Built at Horwich works in July 1929 No 13117 was later renumbered by the LMS in 1933 as No 2817 and then again post nationalisation by British Railways as No 42817. As such No 13117 remained in service until April 1965 when it was withdrawn from Edgeley shed in Stockport before being scrapped in October 1965 by the Central Wagon Co of Ince in Wigan.
