LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

LMS 5MT 4-6-0 'Black 5' No 5128 is seen travelling on the up fast line at the head of a milk train with a clerestory brake van at the rear of the train in August 1937. Built by the Armstrong Whitworth Company in May 1935 No 5128 remained in service until September 1966 when it was withdrawn from Springs Branch shed in Wigan to be scrapped in March 1967 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
