LNWR 0-6-0 'Coal Engine' No 3553 is seen at the head of an up goods train on the slow line near Shilton station in August 1922. Built in June 1881 at Crewe works No 3553 was to be renumbered by the LMS as No 8242 but this number was never applied as it was withdrawn from service in June 1927.
