LMS Route: Trent Valley Line
Shilton Station: lnwr_shil2384
LNWR 0-6-0 '18 inch goods' No 168 is seen approaching
Shilton station with a down goods train. The 18 inch goods locomotive was
better known by its nickname 'Cauliflower' so called because when the LNWR Coat
of Arms was applied to its central splasher from a distance it looked like the
vegetable. Built by Crewe works in April 1900 No 168 was later renumbered by
the LMS as No 8325 which it carried until it was withdrawn from service in
August 1930.
