LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

LNWR 7F 0-8-0 G2a class No 2034 is seen on the fast line at the head of a train of empty wagons as it approaches Tamworth circa 1923. Built at Crewe works in April 1910 No 2034 was renumbered by the LMS as No 9164 and remained in service until October 1961 when it was withdrawn from Springs Branch shed near Wigan to be scrapped in February 1962 by the Central Wagon Company in Ince near Wigan.
