LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Staff of all grades pose for the camera in front of Bedworth station's original main building which was situated on the up platform. This photograph Provides an excellent view of the design of the building which in plan was an elongated cross with the two sections on either side of the 'break front' portion of the building projecting on to the platform being the longer. The building was constructed from timber with only the chimneys being erected using brickwork. On the right is a modesty was behind which was the entrance to the gentlemen's toilets. The platform has been edged using large sandstone blocks whilst the platform surface appears to be laid using bricks or cobbles. The roof has a distinctive pattern of curved tiling every fourth row.
