LNWR 2-4-2T '5ft 6in' No 657 is seen passing under Navigation Street bridge whilst acting as station Pilot shunting coaching stock circa 1920 - 22. The '5ft 6in' class carried its sandbox under the running plate between the leading wheels and the first set of driving wheels which was the simplest way of differentiating between this class and the smaller '4ft 6in' class.
