Looking towards Coventry with the level crossing on the left, the under bridge in the centre and on the right Coundon Road Signal Box. The availability of an under bridge adjacent to a level crossing was not unknown and it indicates its once rural situation as they were designed more for farm traffic than the needs of an urban area. A similar feature existed at Berkswell station and were provided as a condition of building the line often following public pressure. Whilst the 1930s cars could pass through, albeit only one at a time, by the 1960s most vehicles were too large to use the under bridge when the gates were closed. This view of the level crossing was taken from outside of Coventry Rugby Football Club's ground which was on the right and is now a housing estate. The Coventry Corporation bus would have been painted in a Maroon and Cream livery.
