Ex-LMS 8P 4-6-2 Princess Royal class No 46205 'Princess
Victoria' is seen at the head of a down express approaching platform three. The
vehicle immediately behind the tender appears to be a bogie ex-Southern
Railways parcels van whilst the coaching stock is in British Railway's first
corporate livery of 'Carmine and Cream' often referred to as 'Blood and
Custard' by railway enthusiasts circa late 1950s. Built as No 6205 at Crewe
works in July 1935 No 46205 remained in service until November 1961 when it was
withdrawn from Willesden shed in London to be scrapped during May 1962 by Crewe
works.
