British Railways built Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T Tank Engine No 41228 is seen on an up two-coach passenger train which means that it is operating in push-pull mode and has just arrived from Leamington. Built at Crewe works in October 1948 No 41228 remained in service until June 1964 when it was withdrawn from Nine Elms shed to be cut up in November 1964 by G Cohen of Kettering.
