LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5598 later to be named 'Basutoland' stands in front of Rugby No 1 shed on a cold bright sunny Sunday on 1st December 1935. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in February 1935 No 5598 remained in service until October 1964 when withdrawn from Bank Hall shed in Liverpool to be scrapped in April 1965 by TW Ward Ltd of Beighton near Sheffield.
