Looking along the up line towards Perry Barr beneath the bridge which carried Soho Road over the railway on 1st June 1962. The side of the abandoned three-storey station structure which housed its facilities and booking offices is on the left with what appears to be an LNWR style station sign on the wall. In the distance another P & W lineside hut is evident which might indicate that the station was the boundary between two sets of Permanent Way gangs.
