LMS Route: Rugby to Wolverhampton
Tile Hill Station: lnwrth1302a
Close up of image 'mrlnwrth1302' showing the cattle dock and
the grounded former LNWR carriage body sited on the timber staging. The staging
is still evident in image 'lnwrth714a' seen some ten years later but the
carriage body has since been removed. On the left is what appears to be a
weighbridge office. This area was later to be remodelled to handle the swarf
created by the former shadow factories built during the war, most notably
Pressed Steel Fisher based on the corner of Torrington Avenue and Station
Avenue and Massey Ferguson built for the Standard Motor Car Company.
