LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham
Broom Junction Station: mrbj150a
Close up of image 'mrbj150' showing the original Evesham &
Redditch Railway station building, seen in 1938 nearly sixty years after it was
built. The flat roofed structure housing the gentlemen's urinals is most likely
part of the original building whilst the timber buildings, one attached to the
building and the other located at the north end of the platform, are later
additions. The timber building at the north end of the station was most likely
an LMS addition, its not visible in image 'mrbj537'.
A 'modesty screen' is sited adjacent to the door to the Gentleman's urinal with
a number of fire buckets hanging on the side.
