LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham
Broom Junction Station: mrbj382
Ex-LMS 3P 2-6-2T No 171 stands at Broom Junction station with a
Birmingham to Ashchurch local service on 18th September 1945. Built at Derby
works in December 1937 No 171 was renumbered by British Railways as No 40171
which it carried in service until withdrawn from 82G Templecombe shed on the
Somerset & Dorset line in May 1961 to be scrapped shortly afterwards.
