Close up of image 'mrbr147' showing Midland Railway 0-6-0 3F No 3694 carrying the reporting number '81' on its bufferbeam. The train is probably a holiday relief express service, the holiday period being an occassion when even goods locomotives were pressed into service. A member of the Midland Railway's 1873 class, No 3694 was built by Sharp Stewart in May 1901 and had a relatively short life being scrapped in August 1925.
