LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Looking towards Barnt Green station with Halesowen Junction leading off to the right on 21st July 1956. The lines to Longbridge were unusual insofar that in lieu of the standard up and down traffic configuration, the nearest line to the signal box was designated the single 'branch line' and the central line a single 'goods line', both bidirectional. The line nearest the camera led (furthest from the camera) to three sidings which ran parallel to the lines to Longbridge whilst the section of line nearest to the camera joined the main up goods line on the left.
