LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Looking north towards Barnt Green as two goods trains pass each beneath Bromsgrove Road bridge. Until 1925 the section of line doubled through Redditch was the limited stretch section through the station and original goods yard. After 1925 the section was extended northwards when the LMS extended the facilities by constructing a new goods yard built on the site of Pound meadow. One of the two goods trains seen above would therefore have been held at the station whilst the other one cleared the single line approaching Redditch.
