LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Nuneaton

Stockingford Station: mrs424

Looking towards Nuneaton from Stockingford branch line's sidings with the locomotive shed on the right behind the signal box. The Goods Shed is seen on the left with a short siding proceeding behind to a cattle dock landing located adjacent to the station. The lamp posts are lit by gas with two being positioned to illuminate sets of points, one by the pointwork to the goods yard and the other to the sidings. The two sets of track on the left, exiting behind the photographer, has the left hand track leading to sidings with a head shunt whereas the track on the right leads to the main portion of the sidings used to marshal coal trains to and from the collieries on the Stockingford branch.
