LMS 4MT 2-6-4T No 2435, a Stanier 2-cylinder design, has just been outshopped new from Crewe and looks resplendent in its unlined black livery on 4th April 1936. Built in March 1936, No 2435 remained in service until April 1965 when it was withdrawn from Patricroft shed to be scrapped in August 1965 by TW Ward Ltd of Killamars.
