A 1952 Ordnance Survey map showing Park Lane Junction at the top of the triangle and Water Orton station on the right. The line curving upwards, to the North East is the route to Derby, made possible by the cut off between Water Orton and Kingsbury Junction to avoid Whitacre. The line to the East passing the Drainage Works is the original line to Derby via Whitacre. The route to Nuneaton diverges at Whitacre.
