The waiting room is thought to have been similar in size and design to the second waiting room on the up platform at Kineton. The small hut at the end of the platform is believed to be used by Permanent Way staff who maintained the line. The space below the platform is the large duct required to allow the point rodding and signal cables to enter beneath the signal box to the machine room. At the end of the platform is a boarded walkway or barrow crossing to allow porters to wheel luggage or parcels from one platform to another.
