LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

E&WJR and SMJ - Locomotives and Rolling Stock: smjsa340

E&WJR 0-6-0 No 16, in E&WJR livery, stands resplendent on Stratford upon Avon shed's turntable prior to 1909. Cast plates are again used on the locomotive, on the cab and tender sides, but in this instance the number plate only bears the number and does not have the lettering E&W as seen in other photographs e.g. 'smjsa337'. Built in 1906 by Beyer Peacock the locomotive was renumbere as LMS No 2309 prior to its withdrawal and scrapping in 1927.
