Ex-SMJ 0-6-0 No 2311 formerly SMJ No 18 is seen standing on the repositioned turntable on 8th April 1924 . The new turntable still required to be turned by manpower and it was therefore crucial that the locomotive stood in the centre to ensure the turntable was equally balanced.
