View of the derelict shed and water tank

View of the derelict shed and water tank, designed by William Clarke, and built with red brick and slated roof. The Alcester Railway had originally intended to build a two road shed to house two locomotives, and a turntable, but was persuaded not to by their Engineer, William Clarke. Roger Carpenter states in his article in British Railway Journal Volume 66 that it appears that this was the only building erected by the Alcester Railway, others on the line were built after 28th July 1878 when the Alcester Railway Company was vested in the Great Western Railway.
