GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Honeybourne

Ex-LMS 0-6-0 4F class No 44188 is seen on a SLS special leaving the former GWR line to take the spur to join the SMJ on 24th April 1965. The photographer would have been standing at the Honeybourne end of the up platform. Built as LMS No 4188 at St Rollox works in April 1925 No 44188 was to remain in service for only a few more months more being withdrawn in November 1965 from Bescot shed to be scrapped during February 1966 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
