GWR Route: Hatton to Bearley and Alcester Branch
Junction
Aston Cantlow: gwrac2
It was very common during both wars for lightly used branch
lines to be used as sidings for storing wagons in need of repair etc, as seen
in this view taken in March 1940. This view, taken from the over bridge at
Aston Cantlow towards Bearley, shows mainly privately owned coal wagons "as far
as the eye can see".
