Great Western Railway Land Survey Plan from 1878 showing the land purchased by the Birmingham & Oxford Junction Railway

Great Western Railway Land Survey Plan from 1878 showing the land purchased by the Birmingham & Oxford Junction Railway to build Acocks Green Station. The plan shows the original station layout. There was no footbridge across the track, but the main station building on the down side could be reached by lanes from both Sherbourne Road and Roberts Road. There were footpaths from Yardley Road and Roberts Road to either end of the up platform.

Various additions are marked on the plan in red/hatched red, including:

- The trailing crossover and signal box (at the end of the up platform), which were installed circa May 1879.
- Extensions to both platforms and the addition of two long refuge sidings, which were brought into use circa June 1892. Note the catch points are marked on the plan.
- Purchase in 1901 of additional land to allow the line to be quadrupled. The trailing crossover, Signal Box and switch (points) for the up refuge siding commencing at the bridge can be seen on 'gwrag16'.
