GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 2-6-0 43xx Class No 7324 is heading a Margate to Wolverhampton service one Saturday in August 1957. Originally built by Swindon works in February 1932 as No 9302, it was renumbered by British Railways as No 7324 only a few months previous to the photograph being taken, in February 1957. The locomotive was subsequently withdrawn from 81E Didcot shed in October 1962 to be scrapped.
