Ex-GWR 4-6-0 County Class No 1008 'County of Cardigan' is seen on a down Bournemouth service on one Saturday in August 1957. Built by Swindon works in December 1945, No 1008 was to remain in service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from 82C Swindon shed to be scrapped by J Cashmores of Newport.
