GWR 4-6-0 Castle class No 4079 'Pendennis Castle' pilots GWR 4-4-0 Duke class No 3277 'Isle of Tresco' through Snow Hill station on a Shrewsbury stopping service on 13th August 1927. Built at Swindon works in February 1924 No 4079 was to remain in service until May 1964 when it was withdrawn from Saint Philips shed in to be preserved by the GWR Society based at Didcot Railway Centre.
