Ex-GWR 2-6-2T 'Large Prairie' No 5101, the first member of this class of ten locomotives, is seen standing at Bay Platform 9 at the head of a Class B local stopping service. Built at Swindon works in November 1929 No 5101 was first allocated to Stourbridge shed where it was still recorded as being allocated on 1st January 1948, the first day of ownership by the nationalised British Railways and in again in August 1950. The locomotive continued to enjoy a West Midlands relationship until June 1963 when it was withdrawn from service from Leamington spa shed for scrapping.
