Birmingham Snow Hill - British Railways Period Locomotives: gwrbsh1277

British Railways built 2-6-2T Large Prairie No 4179 is seen running bunker first on Snow Hill's up through road at the head of a Class J empty mineral wagon working. Built at Swindon works to Lot 369 in December 1949 No 4179 was to remain in service until February 1965 when it was withdrawn from Tyseley shed to be scrapped during October 1965 by G Cohen of Kingsbury.
