Birmingham Snow Hill - British Railways Period Locomotives: gwrbsh1314

Ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F No 48474 is seen passing through Snow Hill on the down through road whilst at the head of a Class K short pick up freight train on 26th April 1965. Built at Swindon works in May 1945 to a War Department order No 48474 was transfered to the LMS after the Second World War. Remaining in service until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from Crewe South shed, No 48474 was scrapped in January 1968 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
