Looking towards Snow Hill tunnel with the old footbridge still being used on Platform 7 to gain access to Colmore Row on 10th July 1977. The yellow painted handrails on the footbridge are a clear sign that it is being used as part of the car parking facility. As safety precaution, the platform edge has had two rows of sleepers laid one on top of each other. At the far end of Platform 7 a temporary girder support has been erected to support the beam which once carried the booking office and concourse.
