GWR 4-4-0 Bulldog class No 3340 Marazion is seen standing at the North end of the up platform with the North Signal Box seen on the left circa 1901. The locomotive was a year old when the photograph was taken and had the distinctive feature of a combined number and name plate on the cabside panels. Built at Swindon works in January 1900 it was renumbered in 1912 as No 3328 when the GWR gather all members of the class in a coherent numbering sequence. The name was removed from the locomotive in 1931 and the locomotive remained in service until April 1934 when it was withdrawn from Hereford shed to be scrapped by Swindon works.
