GWR 4-4-0 Flower class No 4151 'Calceolaria' is seen
standing light engine on the up through road at Snow Hill station in April
1921. The Flower class was the final variant of the series of double-framed
locomotives that had evolved from the original Duke class, followed by the
Badminton and Atbara classes. Built as GWR No 4103 by Swindon works in May 1908
it was renumbered in 1912 as No 4151 and remained in service until November
1927 when it was withdrawn from Pontypool Road shed to be scrapped at Swindon
works.
