GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Passengers waiting for a local passenger service to Banbury on Fenny Compton station's up platform. The building, which is built of timber with a slate roof, has a bow window projecting out onto the platform. This was to enable the booking office staff to remain in their office whilst be able to observe passengers across the station as well as the arrival of trains. The canopy was quite small and clearly was not designed to provide passengers seated on the platform with any protection.
