GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

View of Fenny Compton station's up platform with ten non-uniformed railway workers posed for the camera. The reason for the photograph is not known nor why there are no uniformed staff in the photograph. The men seen above are probably a Permanent Way gang responsible for maintaining the section of line within which lay Fenny Compton station. In all probability the metal hut and the grounded body next to it were used to store their tools and equipment as the rural aspect of the station would preclude the need for significant storage for parcel traffic etc.
