Close up of image 'gwrfc84' showing Fenny Compton's station's second up platform and its passenger facilities. Whilst a poor photograph it does show the type of brick being used to pave the platform as well as the lamp posts. The increase in traffic on the line compelled the GWR to increase the number of refuge sidings along the route. An up refuge siding was built opposite the relocated down platform with its throat just visible past the level crossing.
