GWR Route: Hatton to Bearley and Alcester Branch

The track on the Alcester Branch was removed during WW1 to assist with the war effort and the intermediate stations were closed. Here is the abandoned Great Alne Station on 21st September 1920. Notice the corrugated iron goods shed was also removed. Soon after this date the trackwork was relaid and the branch reopened, initially from Bearley to Great Alne on 18th December 1922 and finally to Alcester on 1st August 1923.
