A loading gauge can be seen set above the connecting line to the new station on the North Warwickshire Railway's main line. The two-storey annexe on the goods shed was used as an office but also doubled up as a mess room for all of the staff who worked within the yard. A ladder inside gave access to the upper floor which was latterly used to store paperwork. the door to the office was on the rail side of the annexe, hidden in the above view of the building. Inside the office was a traditional sloping top desk fixed to the wall beneath the window and incorporating ink wells and a pen stand. There was an open fire place in one corner - complete with grill stand and hooks for utensils along the front - and an assortment of chairs.
