View looking in the direction of Rowington Junction showing Henley-in-Arden's disused original station and locomotive shed. This photograph shows the extent of the track work left after the lifting of the branch to Rowington Troughs in 1915. The passenger station was closed on 1st July 1908 when Henley-in-Arden's new station opened on the Birmingham and North Warwickshire line. The station building was converted to provide accommodation for the new station's station master and his family. When it first opened the engine shed was a sub-shed of Bordesley shed and then a few years later upon the closure of Bordesley and the opening of the new shed at Tyseley, it was designated Tyseley's sub-shed.
