GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Hockley Station: gwrhd676a
Close up of image 'gwrhd676' showing the main entrance to
the yard for road vehicles entering via Pitsford Street on 12th February 1940.
According to Frank Popplewell in his series of articles in the 'Great
Western Railway Journal', the hut in the foreground belonged to the
contractor and was retained by the GWR after the contractor had no further need
of it and used as a gate man's shelter.
