The annex accommodated two sets of tracks with a platform for cartage in between. Whilst the sidings were in general good state of repair, the right hand siding within the annex does look as if it undulates as it approaches the shed. In between the two sidings leading to the annex is a third siding which terminates before the buffer stop fixed to the end of the cartage platform. The method adopted to stop wagons is very crude being a timber sleeper laid on top of each rail.
