View of Hall Green station looking towards Stratford upon Avon from the Birmingham end of the station with the up platform on the right circa 1916. The abundance of flower beds, hanging baskets and climbers indicates that the railway and their employees took immense pride in the presentation of the station. Competitions for the best district, regional and national stations were held each year by all railway companies as a means of fostering the pride of station staff.
