GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line
Hall Green Station: gwrhg1358
View of the construction of the North Warwickshire Railway
near Hall Green with a horse drawn wagon in the foreground and a steam navvy in
the distance. Running on temporary lines laid by the contractor the wagins were
side tipping and had solid or dumb buffers. The finshed ballasted lines laid
down for the use by the railway company were described as the 'permanent way'
to differentiate them from the contractor's lines.
